52 - week 21 - sacrifice

for the past couple of months i've been in some dark places.  i've been struggling with a lot of fear, worry and self doubt.  i keep looking for some relief and am trying to just be still and patient through it all.  i turned to Him for the strength and found these amazing words that spoke right to me. reminding me what sacrifice was made for me so i won't have to fear any longer.  i wanted so badly to find a winged animal to photograph to correspond with this scripture, but when i could not, i found a flower's petal that seemed to do the trick.

He shall cover you with His feathers,

and under His wings you shall take refuge;

His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

you shall not be afraid of the terror by night,

nor of the arrow that flies by day,

nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,

nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

a thousand may fall at your side,

and ten thousand at your right hand;

but it shall not come near you.

Psalm 91: 4-7
